• Conexión AME acknowledges the uninterrupted and professional work of thousands of workers dedicated to generating electricity for the well-being of the Mexican people.
  • Throughout these 22 years, the AME partners have opened spaces for professional development in 19 states.

Mexico City, May 20th, 2021.- The power industry in Mexico comprised by thousands of Mexicans who, in light of the growth in demand for electricity and the inclusion of new power generation technologies, have found in the power sector an opportunity for professional and personal development to create well-being for all of us thanks to their effort and dedication in fulfilling a social duty that is increasingly more necessary for the country: to generate reliable and more environmentally-friendly electricity.

It is in this spirit that “Conexión AME: #LaEnergíaDeMéxicoSomosTodos” was born — a campaign driven by AME that has grouped together the main players in private power generation in Mexico, and whose purpose is to acknowledge associates that, by the press of a button and jointly with the relevant participation of technicians of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), make possible that we have accessible energy, every day, for all.

It is through the AME’s social media, that associates working at power plants, corporate offices, or from home (due to the pandemic) can share their feelings, experiences, and convictions related to working in this sector.

“Each of the photos you will see throughout the campaign duration belongs to partners and fellow workers of the power industry that operate from one of our facilities, whether it is a wind farm, a solar farm, a combined-cycle facility, or a corporate office, to make sure that we, as Mexicans, can have the power we need to ensure our future well-being”, stated Ramón Moreno Vergara, chairman of the AME.

The power industry is comprised of thousands of technicians with a long experience and trajectory that goes hand in hand with the development of this sector in Mexico: of the CFE that have made the arrival of electrical power to all corners of our country a reality, has integrated, for the past 22 years, with associates of companies affiliated to the AME and, recently, other who saw the opportunity of growing professionally in power generating companies. All of them are a live and dynamic part of the communities where the facilities operate.

“For us, it is nowadays essential to acknowledge the uninterrupted work carried out during the past year by the talented workers that operate in the electrical sector, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic on the health and safety of all of us. The number one priority of companies in the sector was to protect their families and positions, while also contributing to guarantee that the Mexican people received the electrical energy they needed to overcome the complex circumstances that we all faced and come out on top, as always”, he added.

For 22 years, the AME has constituted itself as a cornerstone for the development of the electrical sector, contributing to the economic growth of the country and the well-being of the people. Also, acknowledging Mexican associates that work in this sector is ratifying the commitment to the well-being and the actions in favor of Mexico.
