With over 20 years of experience, in the Mexican Energy Association we work to be a landmark in the development of the Mexican energy sector. We strive to keep contributing to the economic and social growth of the country by investing in gas generation plants.
Currently, the Association is integrated by 12 leading companies of the energy industry, which represent nearly 24,065 MW of installed capacity from combined cycle electricity generation, amounting for 29% of the total capacity in the country, with more that 25 billion dollars in investment. These companies significantly add to the development of other technologies such as co-generation and renewable energy capacities with wind and photovoltaic plants.

Iberdrola México has been 20 years in the country and has played an important role in the development of the energy sector with over 7,000 MW of installed capacity from 13 combined-cycle and cogeneration plants, 5 wind farms and 2 photovoltaic stations. It offers energy generation and supply to its clients.
Mitsui Power Americas is the second largest private operator of energy generation in Mexico, with 2,233 MW of installed capacity from 5 combined-cycle generation plants: Saltillo, Altamira, Río Bravo II, III and IV.


Saavi Energía has worked for over 20 years to provide competitive and customized energy solutions to its clients both in the private and public sector. Due to its service approach, it has become a long-term partner of many organizations enhancing its development through the implementation of new practices of the Mexican Energy Industry.
Naturgy, with over more than 170 years of experience, has been in Mexico for 15 years, and it has four combined-cycle power plants with a total capacity of 2,035 MW. It is the main natural gas distributor in the country, with presence in 6 zones, which comprise 44 municipalities in 9 states of Mexico.


Mitsubishi Corporation is an integral global company that develops and operates business in virtually every industry from industrial finances and energy, to metal, machinery, chemicals, and household products. It has more than 200 offices and subsidiaries in 90 countries, and a network of nearly 1,200 companies, employing over 68,000 people around the world.
Sempra Infraestructura has 25-years ’experience investing, developing, building, and operating energy infrastructure in North America. The company operates +1,500 Megawatts of conventional and renewable energy assets and it is developing +3,000 Megawatts of solar, wind, and battery storage projects. It also operates 7,000 kms of a transportation and distribution natural gas pipeline infrastructure, and a refined products storage network.


Techgen’s power plant, Pesqueria, is one of the biggest combined-cycle plants in the country. It has a capacity of 900 MW obtained from three gas and one steam turbine, to supply energy to TenarisTamsa and Ternium, two important industrial plants in Mexico.
Fisterra Energy specializes in energy infrastructure investments worldwide, including greenfield investments, and development and construction projects, companies/projects with a track-record of assets in development and/or operation, as well as every segment of the energy industry: generation, transmission.


Grupo México Energía provides engineering, construction, generation, and onshore and offshore drilling services, including oil rig leasing and operation.
Corporación AES is a global electricity company of Fortune 500. It has three power generation plants in Mexico with a total capacity of 1,050 MW: Termoeléctrica del Golfo (TEG), Termoeléctrica Peñoles (TEP) and AES Mérida located in Mérida, Yucatán.
